Liberty Falls Campgrounds near Kennicott Mine in Alaska is a 10-acre state of Alaska run campground
located at Milepost 23.5 of the Edgerton Highway near Chitina. The campground offers 10 private
campsites along Liberty Creek — Liberty Falls is easily accessible from the campground.
In 2009 the state overhauled Liberty Falls Campground including a new bridge and a new restroom
too.

of the Richardson Highway between Glennallen and Valdez, AK. At milepost 82.5 of the Richardson
Highway you will turn onto the Edgerton Highway and follow it to Milepost 23.5 to the Liberty
Falls Campground near the town of Chitina, AK.

the more scenic campgrounds found along the Edgerton Highway in Alaska. Liberty Falls Campground
has offers some nice privacy with their large well separated campsites located in a dynamic
canyon setting. Liberty Falls Campground just may be the hidden gem in camping options along
the Edgerton Highway. The campground (Alaska State Parks) has great campsites with picnic
tables and and a prepped area for tent sites. Bring your camera and photograph yourself with
the picturesque Liberty Falls waterfall in the background. The view of the falls from the
bridge crossing Liberty Creek is a great place to take a selfie. Liberty Creek is a rapidly
flowing stream that flows through the campground with cascading waterfalls both above and
below the camping area.
