We have not stayed at Eagle River Campground in many years. This is not to say it's not a top campground but is more about it's location

Eagle River Campground, Eagle River Alaska

  • Directions – Located 12 miles north of Anchorage Alaska on the shores of Eagle River, Eagle River Campground is situated right along the Glenn Highway just south of the city of Eagle River. Take the Hiland Road Exit located at mile 12 of the Glenn Highway. Follow park signs onto Hesterberg Road past Hiland Mountain Correctional Center to river and into the campground.
  • Description – One of the larger campgrounds in the Alaska State Parks system under private management by Lifetime Adventures.
