This small camping area is located on the shores of Mosquito Lake in a rural area of Haines Alaska. There are a few homes and summer cabins along the shores but the campground was located such that we felt like we had the lake all to our selves. There is a small shelter but it's in a stage of disrepair. The campground appeared un-kept and no campground host was assigned. Locals use the unimproved boat launch for fishing access to Mosquito Lake. Small boats, canoes are best suited for this lake.

• Directions – Getting to Mosquito Lake Campground, follow the Haines Highway to mile 27 and watch for Mosquito Lake Road. Turn off onto Mosquito Lake Road and follow this to the entrance to the campground.
• Description – Mosquito Lake Campground is a very small camping and recreation area best suited for small campers or tent camping. Maneuvering area is very limited and the access road is rutted at the bottom near the boat launch. Not advisable for RV's 25 foot or over nor trailers with a combined vehicle/trailer length of 30 feet or more.
