Know the Rules

To ensure every visitor has an enjoyable experience, it is important that everyone follow the rules for usingthe public campgrounds, recreation sites and trails.

Safety and Etiquette Camping & Day Use

  • Enjoy your stay for as many as 14 consecutive days
  • Do not cut down trees without permit
  • Return your site to its natural condition before leaving
  • Commercial or group use requires permitting
  • Pay camping and other service fees to recreation site operator if applicable
  • DO NOT HOLD CAMPSITES, or leave personal property unattended.
    • Available only on a first come basis.

Drive Cautiously

  • Roads are often used by visitors as paths and play areas
  • Maximum speed is 10mph
  • Do not drive over vegetation or off designated roads or drives.
  • Always wear a helmet when riding bikes, dirt bikes and ATVs

Courtesy

  • Respect the peace and quiet of others
  • Keep your noise to a minimum including music and generators, at all times
  • Obey designated quiet time: 11pm — 8am

Garbage

  • You pack it in, you pack it out
  • Do not litter
  • Deposit garbage in container if provided
  • Do not empty your holding tank or dump garbage in toilet
  • Do not leave personal property unattended
  • Unclaimed property will be removed at owners expense

Campfires

  • Keep your campfires small and contained within the fire rings provided
  • Do not light campfires during windy conditions
  • Keep a water bucket handy when burning
  • Attend your campfires at all times
  • Extinguish before you leave
  • Do not cut trees or remove wood from the site

Parking

  • Park in designated areas
  • Keep roads clear; do not block traffic

Pets

  • Keep your pets quiet and under control at all times
  • Pets need to be on a leash when around other people

Safety & Hunting

  • Do not discharge firearms, bows, crossbows, or set traps
  • Do not discharge fireworks.

Violation of any of the above rules may result in a fine and/or order to vacate the campground
